What are we cooking today? How about a delicious, flavorful dish of beef with broccoli? It will be tender and give us a rich, satisfying taste. We can serve it plain or with rice or mashed potatoes.
Ingredients:
1,200g of beef (olive cut) cut into cubes
1 large broccoli, cut into florets
1 large onion, finely chopped
2 cloves of garlic, finely chopped
1 tsp sumac
5-6 cedar nuts
1 tsp tarragon
Juice of 1 juicy lemon
1 ½ tsp corn flour
Olive oil
Salt and pepper
Vegetable or chicken broth
In a pot, heat some olive oil and saute the beef on all sides. Add the onions and garlic and continue sauteing. Then, add warm broth, sprinkle in the sumac, cedar nuts, and tarragon. Reduce the heat to medium-low and let it simmer for about an hour (if using a pressure cooker, reduce the time by half).
Next, open the lid and place the broccoli florets among the beef. Let it simmer for about ten minutes. If needed, add a bit more broth.
In a small bowl, mix the lemon juice with corn flour, stirring well. Pour this mixture over the dish. Let it come to a boil and then remove from heat. Allow it to rest for about fifteen minutes before serving.
Serve it plain or with rice, mashed potatoes, or other accompaniments.
