Braised Lemon Beef

The recipe I'm about to present is a delicious variation of beef, rich in flavors and aromas. Braised lemon beef combines the protein of the meat with the freshness of lemon, creating a delicate balance of flavors. It's a classic dish that is easy to prepare and perfect for a Sunday meal or a festive table.


Ingredients:
•    1 kilogram of beef (preferably rump steak), cut into pieces or ask your butcher to put it in a net to maintain its shape
•    2 cloves of garlic, finely chopped
•    1/2 cup of white wine
•    2 onions, roughly chopped
•    1 lemon
•    Olive oil
•    1 tablespoon of corn flour
•    Salt, pepper, thyme, and oregano

Directions

Instructions:
1.    In a large pot, heat a little olive oil and brown the beef pieces on all sides until well-seared.
2.    Add the onions and garlic to the pot and saute them until softened. Then deglaze the pot with the white wine.
3.    Fill the pot with warm water, enough to cover the meat, and let it simmer for about two hours until the meat becomes tender. Season with salt, pepper, thyme, and oregano.
4.    Towards the end of cooking, remove the beef from the pot. In the pot, you should have the sauce. Add the corn flour, lemon zest, and lemon juice. Blend the ingredients using a mixer until the sauce becomes smooth and well-combined.
5.    Serve the beef with the sauce, accompanied by rice, potatoes, mashed potatoes, or even pasta.
