Recipe-Ingrediants

When you have kids at home, you need to be prepared for their "I want" moments! And if they crave a burger, we'll quickly make a chicken burger... without many ingredients or elaborate preparation.
Of course, if you prefer a more gourmet version with caramelized onions or onion rings, the choice is yours. However, the basic chicken burger is here to satisfy your cravings.

Our ingredients:
3 chicken breasts
6 burger buns
6 lettuce leaves or iceberg/mixed salad
4 tablespoons mayonnaise
4 tablespoons ketchup
6 slices of cheese (e.g., Gouda)
2 eggs
For breading:
150 grams of flour
75 grams of corn flour
1 teaspoon smoked paprika
1 teaspoon granulated garlic
1 teaspoon cayenne pepper
½ teaspoon salt
? teaspoon black pepper
For marinating:
1 tablespoon soy sauce
½ teaspoon smoked paprika
½ teaspoon granulated garlic
? teaspoon black pepper

Directions

In a bowl, mix the marinade ingredients for the chicken. Cut each chicken breast in half and coat each fillet with the marinade mixture. Let it marinate for about 20 minutes.
In a bowl, combine the breading ingredients. In a smaller bowl, beat the 2 eggs.
Take each marinated chicken fillet and coat it first with the flour mixture, then dip it into the beaten eggs, and coat it again with the flour mixture.
Heat vegetable oil in a deep pan until it reaches a suitable frying temperature.
Take the breaded chicken fillets, shake off the excess flour, and place them in the pan. Flip the chicken pieces when one side turns golden brown.
While the chicken fillets are frying, you can quickly prepare a sauce by mixing equal parts mayonnaise and ketchup.
Slice the burger buns in half and spread the sauce on both sides. Then, place the lettuce leaves on the bottom bun. Once the chicken fillets are cooked, place them on top of the lettuce and add a slice of cheese.
Serve the chicken burgers warm with a side of salad or French fries.
Enjoy your homemade chicken burgers!
