A traditional dish that fills your home with wonderful aromas. It's incredibly tasty, with a blend of flavors and aromas that can be found on festive tables, whether it's Christmas or Easter!
Ingredients:
In a large pot, heat olive oil and saute the lamb pieces until they are browned on all sides. Add the chopped onions, both fresh and dry, and add enough water to cover the lamb. Cover the pot with a lid and let it simmer for about 45 minutes.
Next, add the vegetables to the pot and cover it again. Continue simmering for another 45 minutes.
Just before removing it from the heat, sprinkle with finely chopped dill and let it simmer for a few more minutes. Then, follow the steps for preparing the avgolemono sauce (tagk). Pour the sauce over the dish and gently stir the pot to distribute it evenly.
If using fresh artichoke hearts, add them about 20 minutes before removing the dish from the heat.
