A wonderful traditional recipe that brings back memories of grandmothers, villages, and childhood! The orzo pasta immersed in the sauce with cheeses, the aroma of the minced meat, and each bite turning into a delight.
It's a recipe we love because, although it's essentially pasta with minced meat, it offers a different sensation with the scent of the oven, the melted beloved cheeses, and the delicious aroma of the minced meat.
Ingredients:
In a saucepan, heat some olive oil and saute the minced meat. Add the onions, garlic, tomato, and tomato paste, and mix well. Let it simmer for a while.
In a separate pan, melt the butter and add the orzo pasta. Stir well and cook for 2-3 minutes. Then, add it to the meat mixture.
Add the chicken broth and let it simmer for about ten minutes, stirring constantly to prevent the orzo from sticking to the bottom of the pan.
Transfer the mixture to an ovenproof dish or casserole and sprinkle the mixed cheeses on top.
Place it in the oven and bake until the cheeses are golden brown.
Serve and enjoy!
