These meatballs are sure to steal the show on your table, providing a gastronomic pleasure that will captivate you.
Our Ingredients:
500g lamb mince
500g beef mince
2-3 cloves of minced garlic
2 large onions,
grated ? bunch of finely chopped parsley
3 slices of white bread (crust removed), soaked in water (or you can use wine or ouzo)
2 tbsp finely chopped fresh mint
2 eggs
2 tbsp olive oil
1 tbsp vinegar
1 tbsp oregano
Salt and pepper
Flour for coating
Ouzo for shaping (optional)
In a bowl, mix all the ingredients together. It's important to have a moist mixture to achieve fluffy meatballs. Once the ingredients are well combined, cover the mixture with cling film and refrigerate for about an hour to allow the flavors and spices to meld. Then, wet your palm with a little ouzo and start shaping the meat mixture into meatballs. Coat them with flour, shake off any excess, and fry them in olive oil (enough to cover half of each meatball). Fry the meatballs on both sides until golden brown, then transfer them to absorbent paper to remove any excess oil.
If you have leftover meatballs, you can use them the next day in a pasta dish with a rustic tomato sauce or a feta cheese sauce, or even in a yogurt-based sauce for a delightful appetizer.
