Pork Gyro

Do you want a homemade pork gyro? The favorite meal of all Greeks - and not only - comes to our home juicy, tasty, so we can make our own wraps with our own flavor! The key is the preparation. Everything else... is easy!


Ingredients:
For the meat:
1 kg pork neck, cut into thin strips
1 onion, minced
2 tsp garlic paste
Paprika
Sumac
Mixed pepper
White wine
Other ingredients:
Tzatziki
Tomato
French fries
Onion Finely chopped
parsley
1 pack of pita bread
Ketchup
Mustard
BBQ sauce
Olive oil
1 potato
Wooden skewer

Directions

Take a bowl and put the meat, onion, garlic, wine, and spices inside. Cover it with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 12 hours.
Next, remove the meat from the refrigerator and take a metal sheet. Cut a potato so that its base is flat and stable. Wrap it with aluminum foil and place it in the center of the baking pan. Then, place a piece of parchment paper on top. Place the meat strips on top of the potato, one strip on top of the other. Insert a wooden skewer to secure the strips with the potato. Cover it with aluminum foil and bake at 200°C (400°F) for one hour (or as many hours as the weight of the meat in kilos if you have taken more). Then, remove the foil and let it brown and dry.
Cut into thin strips.
You can grill the pita bread in a non-stick pan or a sandwich press.
Prepare your gyro wrap with your favorite ingredients.
