Light and flavorful mushroom patties with delicate mushroom aromas. This recipe uses minimal ingredients to enhance the natural flavor of the mushrooms. We bake them in the oven to preserve their wonderful aroma and prevent them from becoming too oily, as mushrooms tend to absorb oil.
Ingredients:
500g mushrooms (button or portobello)
2 medium onions
1-2 cloves of garlic
1/3 bunch of dill (or parsley, if preferred)
80g all-purpose flour
2-3 tbsp breadcrumbs
2 tsp baking powder
Salt and pepper
1. Take the mushrooms, wipe them clean (do not wash them as mushrooms tend to absorb water), and chop them into pieces, along with the onions.
2. In a blender, pulse the mushrooms and onions until finely chopped.
3. Transfer the mixture to a bowl and add the remaining ingredients. Mix well until the mixture is light and can be shaped into balls.
4. Shape the mixture into small balls and lightly press them from the top.
5. Place the patties on a greased baking tray and bake in a preheated oven at 200°C (400°F) until they turn golden brown.
Note: This recipe can be suitable for special dietary groups such as vegetarians and vegans.
If desired, you can also add 100g of feta cheese and 1 egg on top of this recipe to take your mushroom patties to another level of flavor and enjoyment.
Serve the mushroom patties with tahini dip, tomato sauce, or yogurt dip.
