Our Ingredients:

  • 500g all-purpose flour
  • 1 packet of dry yeast
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tbsp vinegar
  • 1/2 tbsp sugar
  • 1/2 tbsp salt
  • 1 1/2 cups lukewarm water
  • 10 sweet figs, diced
  • Fig syrup (CUMA)

Directions

In half a glass of lukewarm water, dissolve the yeast by gently stirring (not hot as it will burn the yeast).

In a bowl, mix together the flour, sugar, and salt. Then add the olive oil, vinegar, water with dissolved yeast, and gradually incorporate the remaining water while stirring. Continue mixing until you have a soft, pliable dough that doesn't stick to your fingers. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap or a kitchen towel and let the dough "rest" for about half an hour.

Next, take a piece of dough, open it with your hands (or use a rolling pin if desired). Place the diced figs scattered in the center. Fold the dough from the outside towards the center, covering the filling. Press it with your fingers to flatten the dough and create a round shape.
