Easy and quick mini meat pies in bite-sized portions for any time of the day. Delicious and beloved, as everyone loves them!
Ingredients:
1 packet of phyllo pastry
300g mixed or beef mince
2 large onions, finely chopped
2 cloves of garlic, finely chopped
10 slices of bacon, diced
200g mixed cheeses
1 tsp sweet paprika
½ cup white wine
Salt and pepper
Sesame seeds and vegetable oil for sprinkling
1 egg white for sealing the pastry
In a large pan, saute the minced meat until it breaks apart and loses its pink color. Then add the chopped onions, followed by the garlic, and finally, deglaze with white wine. Reduce the heat and simmer the mince for about 10-15 minutes until most of the liquid evaporates. Set it aside.
In a small skillet, lightly fry the diced bacon and add it to the mince mixture along with the cheeses, paprika, salt, and pepper. Mix well to incorporate all the ingredients.
Next, lay out the phyllo pastry on a clean surface and cut it into vertical strips.
Take a teaspoonful of filling and place it at the end of each strip. Fold the pastry diagonally to form a triangle.
To seal the pastry, brush the end with egg white. Repeat the process with the remaining pastry and filling.
Place the mini meat pies on a baking tray lined with parchment paper, brush them with vegetable oil, and sprinkle with sesame seeds.
Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C (350°F) for about 30 minutes or until they turn golden brown.
Delicious golden and appetizing mini meat pies are ready to be enjoyed!
Note: The recipe makes approximately 20 mini meat pies.
