Incredible loukanipitakia with a delicious and soft dough that both kids and adults love. We fold them like croissants to prevent the sausage from drying out. This recipe makes approximately 35-38 pieces, perfect for enjoying at any time. Whether it's for kids at school or at home, or for adults at the office or as a quick snack on the go, these loukanipitakia are great for parties, birthdays, and many other occasions!
Ingredients:
Rinse and drain the cocktail sausages well. In the mixing bowl, combine the flour, butter, egg, baking powder, salt, and milk.
Mix at a low speed until a soft and pliable dough forms (you may need to add a little more flour if necessary).
Once the dough is ready, transfer it to a floured surface and roll it out to a thickness of about half a centimeter.
Cut the dough into thick strips about 10-12cm wide and form triangles. In a bowl, mix together the mustard, ketchup, and mayonnaise (you can adjust the quantities according to your preference).
Brush the base of each triangle with the sauce mixture and place a cocktail sausage inside. Roll up towards the pointed end of the triangle and seal it.
Place the loukanipitakia on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, brush them with beaten egg, and sprinkle with sesame seeds or black cumin.
Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C (350°F) for about 20 minutes or until they turn golden brown. Enjoy your delicious loukanipitakia!
