For serving, as a dessert after a Sunday meal, with coffee, or for kids who love it so much...and for a thousand other reasons!!!!
Here we will see a simple zucchini pie - the basic one - with just 5 ingredients! From there on, if you want, you can enrich it yourself.
Our ingredients:
1 ½ kilogram of pumpkin
1 package of country-style pastry sheets (8 sheets)
350 grams of sugar
1 tsp cinnamon
½ cup vegetable oil
Grate the pumpkin using a coarse grater. Place it in a colander and sprinkle it with a little sugar. Wait for a while to let it marinate and release its liquid. Then squeeze it well with your hands and add the sugar and cinnamon, and mix well. (At this point, I would like to tell you that you can taste the sugar and add more if you want it sweeter). Preheat your oven to 180 degrees Celsius. Next, lay our pastry sheets in a baking dish, with 4 sheets at the bottom so that their edges stick out, greasing each one separately, and place the fifth sheet exactly in the middle. Add the filling, spread it evenly everywhere, and fold the edges of the pastry sheets that protrude from the baking dish. Then lay the remaining pastry sheets, greasing them again, and place the final sheet on top. Sprinkle it with a little water and score the pieces. Bake it for about an hour until it turns golden brown. Once it has cooled down, sprinkle it with sugar and cinnamon.
-We can add walnuts, raisins, or even diced apples to the filling.
-We can enhance its flavor with cloves or nutmeg.
Good luck!
