Aromatic cookies with grape molasses, crispy, and very, very delicious. Perfect for your coffee, breakfast, or even as a sweet indulgence! They go everywhere!
Ingredients:
• 150g sugar
• 250g grape molasses
• 250g olive oil
• 100g orange juice
• 1 shot of cognac
• 1 tsp cinnamon
• 1 tsp ground cloves
• 1 tsp baking soda
• 1 tsp baking powder
• Zest from one unwaxed orange
• 1 cup (-or less, as needed-) soft flour
• 400g sesame seeds
In a bowl, mix all the liquid ingredients together with the spices and baking soda. Using a mixer, beat them well until the sugar dissolves. Sift the flour to incorporate air, and gradually add it to the bowl, kneading the mixture. After adding all the ingredients, knead slowly until you have a pliable and soft dough that doesn't stick to your hands.
Start shaping the cookies and give them the desired form. Once shaped, take each one and dip it in a bowl filled with sesame seeds.
Preheat your oven to 170 degrees Celsius. The baking time depends on the size of the cookies. Personally, I like them small and charming, able to stand on the coffee cup. In this case, leave them in the oven for a maximum of 10 minutes. Keep an eye on them while baking. When you take them out, they should be slightly soft, allowing time to firm up as they cool.
After cooling, always cover the cookies to preserve their crispiness. Enjoy!
