It's very easy, and if you've prepared the caramelized milk in advance, it can be made in just a few minutes.

For dessert on a table, for birthdays or celebrations, for anniversaries, for Christmas, for Valentine's Day... banoffee goes everywhere!

Our ingredients:

2 packs of Oreo cookies (154g each)

2 cans of sweetened condensed milk

3 ripe and firm bananas

1 pack of whipped cream

80g butter

Directions

First, let's start by preparing the caramelized sweetened condensed milk. We have 2 + 1 methods: The first method, and the most time-consuming one, is as follows: In a saucepan, place 2-3 spoons on the bottom and put the two cans of sweetened condensed milk on top. Fill the saucepan with water until the cans are well covered. We place the spoons to prevent the bottom of the cans from coming into contact with the bottom of the pan and burning. The boiling water should circulate around and under the cans. Let it simmer for 3 hours. Check it periodically to refill the water and ensure that the cans are always well covered. Yes, I know, it's a very time-consuming process, but you can make it with more cans and have them ready for future use. Once boiled, they can be stored in the pantry without opening them.

The second method is using a non-stick pan. Add a little butter to the bottom of the pan, let it spread everywhere, and empty the sweetened condensed milk into the pan. Quickly stir with a silicone spatula over low heat for five minutes. Be careful not to let the milk burn at the bottom and form a layer.

The alternative and the easiest and most common method is to find ready-made caramelized sweetened condensed milk in the supermarket, next to the sweetened condensed milks.

Once we have the caramelized milk ready, the rest is very easy and quick. In a blender, put one pack of Oreo cookies and 3-4 cookies from the other pack, and grind them. (For a 28cm diameter mold) As soon as they are ground, transfer them to a bowl and add the melted butter. The butter should be approximately 1/3 of the weight of the cookies. (e.g., if the cookies weigh 220g, the butter will be 80g) Mix well and spread it on the bottom of the mold and about one centimeter up the sides. Put it in the refrigerator for a while to set. Once it's ready, add the caramelized milk and return it to the refrigerator. While waiting for the cream to cool, slice the bananas and whip the cream. When the cream is ready, remove it from the refrigerator, arrange the banana slices on top, crumble 3-4 Oreo cookies, and spread them on top. Finally, add the whipped cream on top. Decorate as desired (crumbled Oreo cookies, etc.).
