The following recipe is an easy and delicious option for those who love sweets. The base is made up of sugar, butter, salt, and flour, while the filling is a creamy caramel, and the topping is chocolate. This sweet recipe will satisfy your taste buds and give you a treat you won't easily forget. It's perfect for any occasion or as a sweet welcome for your friends and family.
Ingredients: A)
For the base 300g sugar
1 vanilla pod
225g melted butter
1 ½ tsp salt 250g flour
B) For the caramel filling
330g butter
1 can sweetened condensed milk
100g sugar
120g heavy cream
1 tsp honey
C) For the chocolate topping
220g chocolate
To make the recipe, start with the A part. Mix the ingredients and spread the thick batter in a baking dish. Pierce it in several places and bake at 180°C for about 20 minutes. While the base is baking, make the B part. In a saucepan, melt the butter with the sugar, add the sweetened condensed milk, heavy cream, honey, and stir until it reaches 113°C (lightly chewy).
When the base comes out of the oven, let it cool and spread the caramel on top. Place our baking dish in the refrigerator to cool. Once cooled, we have two alternatives. If we want individual bars, we cut it into bars and place them on a rack. If we want, we can leave it whole (as I did) and cut it into pieces later.
Melt 200g of chocolate in a double boiler, and when the chocolate is melted, add the remaining 20g. Stir and spread on top of our baking dish or spread with a spoon on the bars on the rack. Let it cool.
