The most delicious and beloved cake, that we will see in all celebrations in a prominent position. Christmas, Easter, birthdays, parties and weekend gatherings, the absolute favorite rich in chocolate flavor, in balance with the delicate taste of strawberries that I'm sure will enchant you!
Ingredients:
1 small box of strawberries
400g cream cheese
6 tbsp powdered sugar
250g butter at room temperature
630g granulated sugar
330g eggs
100g cocoa powder
400g self-rising flour
40g cognac 110g milk
For the topping:
150g dark chocolate
150g + 2 tbsp heavy cream
Method:
1. Beat the butter with the granulated sugar until it whitens. Add the eggs, cognac, and milk. Add the flour after sifting it. Place the batter in a greased and floured 28cm cake pan and bake for about 50 minutes at 180 degrees Celsius, in a preheated oven. Before removing it, check if it has been baked by inserting a knife. Once done, let it cool on a wire rack.
2. While waiting for the cake to cool, beat the cream cheese with powdered sugar, add 8 large strawberries finely chopped and mix.
3. Once the cake is cooled, cut it in half, spread the cream cheese mixture and put the other half of the cake on top. In a saucepan, heat the heavy cream until it starts to boil. Remove from heat and add the chopped chocolate. Mix until completely melted and pour half of the mixture on top of the cake. Decorate the cake with strawberries.
4. Add 2 tbsp of heavy cream to the remaining chocolate mixture, mix and pour it around the cake. Dust with powdered sugar.
