Seafood Salad

A salad that evokes the feeling of summer, delicious and light. You can find it predominantly during Lent, in many taverns and restaurants across our islands and throughout Greece.


Our ingredients:
300g mixed salad greens
10 cherry tomatoes
10 boiled shrimp
1 small octopus, boiled and finely chopped
5 mussels, steamed and removed from the shell
 5 tbsp olive oil
1 tbsp lemon juice
½ tbsp lime juice
1 tsp mustard
1 tsp finely chopped dry onion
1 tsp finely chopped fresh onion
 1 tsp finely chopped dill
Salt and pepper
Lime zest

Directions

For this salad, we carefully wash the vegetables and allow them to drain well. We prepare the shrimp by removing the intestinal tract along the back, and if they are large, we cut them in half lengthwise (butterfly style). We open the steamed mussels that we have previously removed from the shell. We slice the boiled octopus into rings.
We place all the ingredients in a bowl. We arrange the mixed salad greens on a serving platter and place the vegetables and seafood on top.
Next, in a blender, we combine the onions, olive oil, lemon juice, lime juice, mustard, dill, salt, and pepper. We blend until smooth.
Finally, we drizzle the dressing over the salad just before serving. Garnish with lime zest.
