Easy, wonderful, quick, and delicious potatoes cooked in a pot. Whether you eat them plain - who says they can only be eaten with tomato sauce? (yahni) - or try them with lemon and savor them with a fork in their flavorful broth, or serve them as a side dish with your meats, fish, or anything else you desire!!
Our Ingredients:
1 kg potatoes, cleaned and cut into large cubes
2 dried onions, finely chopped
3 cloves of garlic, finely chopped
50g butter
500g vegetable or chicken broth
2 carrots, sliced
2 tsp mustard
Juice of one juicy lemon
Salt, pepper, dried oregano,
2 bay leaves
Olive oil
Finely chopped parsley
Let's prepare our ingredients and have them all ready beside us. In a pot, heat some olive oil and saute the onions. Then add the garlic, potatoes, and carrots. Once all our ingredients are sauteed, pour in the broth, mustard, salt, pepper, bay leaves, and oregano. Cover the pot, reduce the heat, and simmer for about 40 minutes. We don't stir the dish, just gently shake the pot by its handles. Then add the butter and lemon. Let it boil for 2-3 minutes, and just before turning off the heat, add the parsley.
