OKRA WITH LEMON

okra! With just the mention of this vegetable, half of the people disappear... but the other half, including me, love them! Usually, we make them stewed... Have you tried making them lemony? They are wonderful, very tasty, aromatic, and light okras, that can be made plain as a vegetable side dish, or accompanied with chicken, fish, etc. If it sounds like a good idea to you, let's get started!

Our ingredients:

500g okras

3 garlic cloves, sliced

2 potatoes, diced

1 leek, thinly sliced (only the white part)

1 onion, finely chopped

1 carrot,

sliced Juice from 1 juicy lemon

Vegetable broth

1/4 bunch of dill

1 tsp finely chopped mint

Olive oil Salt, pepper

Directions

In a deep saucepan, heat a little olive oil and saute the leek and onion. Then add the garlic, potatoes with the carrot, and finally the okras. Saute very well and extinguish with the lemon juice. Add vegetable broth, dill, mint, and salt and pepper, and close the lid. Lower the heat and let it cook slowly for 30-45 minutes (depending on the size of your okras). Do not stir, just shake the saucepan by the handles.

Serve the green beans with a drizzle of olive oil and fresh bread!
