Soft and flavorful potatoes that melt in your mouth, combined with mildly spicy minced meat, and elevated by a touch of egg... Your children will adore it, and you will make it a staple in your meals. Let's see how it's done!

Ingredients:

5-6 potatoes, sliced

700g minced beef

1 dry onion, sliced for the potatoes + 1 finely chopped dry onion for the minced meat

2 cloves of garlic, minced for the potatoes + 2 cloves of garlic for the minced meat

300g tomato juice Water or vegetable broth

6 eggs

Olive oil Salt and pepper

1 tsp smoked paprika for the potatoes + 1 tsp for the minced meat

? tsp turmeric for the potatoes

½ tsp cumin for the minced meat

1 wine glass of red wine

Directions

  1. Slice the potatoes and place them in a baking dish. Add the onion, garlic, salt, pepper, turmeric, and smoked paprika. Mix well to ensure all ingredients are evenly distributed. Arrange the potatoes in the dish so that they have the same height everywhere.
  2. Pour water or vegetable broth into the dish until the potatoes are covered about 2/3 of the way. Place the baking dish in the oven at 180°C (356°F) in the air mode and bake until the potatoes are cooked.
  3. While the potatoes are baking, prepare the minced meat. In a frying pan, saute the minced beef, then add the chopped onion and garlic. Deglaze with red wine, and once the alcohol evaporates after 2-3 boils, add the tomato juice, cumin, and smoked paprika. Allow it to simmer until the liquid reduces.
  4. Once the potatoes are done, spread the minced meat over them. Make six wells in the minced meat for the eggs to nestle in. Carefully crack the eggs into the wells. Place the baking dish back in the oven for a few more minutes until the eggs are cooked and the minced meat has a light golden color.
  5. Serve hot! Enjoy your meal!

Tips:

  • You can make your own variations, such as serving the minced meat with fried potatoes, etc.
  • You can prepare the minced meat and partially boil the potatoes the day before if you're hosting a dinner. This way, the next day you'll have less cooking time and your ingredients will be almost ready.
